Description

This DOD Aperture Punch card was used for the United States Naval Air Technical Services Facility deep in the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. These cards could be read by an advanced computing machine to rapidly recall confidential schematics, maintenance logs, and other important documents. This particular punch card stored film of confidential naval schematic for an afterburner fuel control tube, furnished under contract for the United States Military by an unknown third party corporation.

The work has been hand framed and scanned, with an enlarged image of the microfilm printed on the information card. The work also includes a certificate of authenticity. Also available on Etsy.
